Floral Embroidery Designs

Normandy lace roundels filled with floral embroidery lace designs and Irish crochet. The roses and other floral designs on several of these pieces were created with crochet - a technique where only one thread is worked on at a time using a crochet hook. The floral motif continues with the lace shawl worn by actress Lillian Gish.
